Welcome to the Higher Certificate in Entrepreneurship programme. As part of your studies, you are required to study and successfully complete a course on Financial Management for Non-Financial Managers.
2. Module Overview
This course is designed to enable you to understand the basic concepts in financial management. Concepts from accounting (financial and managerial accounting) are included which is aimed to give the student a well-rounded view and understanding of the fundamental aims and objectives of the financial management sphere.
3. Aim of the Module
The aim of this course is to provide the learner with knowledge and skills in achieving the fundamental objective of financial management, namely, maximising the value of the firm. The outcomes of the course are as follows:

Explain the concept of time value of money
Calculate present values and future values of lump sum investments as well as annuities
